Take A Step Forward

Have you ever felt discouraged or overwhelmed by a project, and wondered if you're making any progress at all? My observation over the years is that this happens more with beginners, but that's by no means conclusive. I think it can happen to anybody, whether you're just starting out or have been quilting a while (maybe don't ask me about my Foundation Pieced Peonies Quilt 👀 ).

Quilting, like any other creative hobby, can be a challenging and sometimes frustrating process. It's easy to get bogged down in the details and lose sight of the bigger picture. But every time you sit down at your sewing machine and take a stitch, you're making progress.

Even if it's just a single step (or stitch), it's a step (or stitch) in the right direction.

Don't underestimate the power of your small steps. Insignificant they may seem, but they most certainly add up over time. Before you know it, all those small steps will lead to a completed quilt that you will be proud of and love. And the satisfaction you'll feel when you finish will make all that effort and hard work worthwhile❤️

So, whether you're a beginner working on your first pattern, or a more seasoned quilter who's trying a more complex design, remember that every stitch, every snip of your scissors, and every press with your iron is a step forward.....and every step, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction 👣👣👣

Happy Quilting! You got this!
